Mural painted around the window of my home during the first three months of state of alarm and quarantine in Spain. The Mural approaches death from a non Eurocentric perspective while putting it at the center of life. At the same time the mural makes a critical reading of the way the Spanish authorities and institutions handled the pandemic while reinforcing institutional racism and individualistic notions of care. On the oposite side the ways migrant and racialized people organized in communitarian ways to deal with COVID19 is depicted.
